With a land that contains so many beautiful women and people, it’s hard to lose sight of your training and discipline. I have been putting in the work in Humboldt, San Luis Obispo, Oahu, and Kata so far this year. My body aches, my brain is fried, I’m trying to push through in this new environment on a limited time.

Some surfing lessons I’ve learned this week. And want to reiterate on for anyone that cares.
1. Don’t hesitate on the pop up. If you do you usually risk a chance of pearling.
2. Know where you are going as soon as you find the wave.
3. Angle tackle the wave. It is a precision strike when you catch the wave. You’ve been researching it, watching it, forecasting it, training for it for weeks. This is where you need to execute.
4. Arch that back nice and good while paddling into a wave. Better start loaded up, it’s easy to deload the back.
5. Get the fuck out of Bangkok as soon as you can. Once you acclimate do yourself a favor and get out before Bangkok gets you.
